Betsy Ritz Every Artwork Tells A Story: Works Waiting To Be Seen Jan 31- Feb 9, 2025
This exhibit features a broad spectrum of work from the archives of Betsy Ritz, telling stories of the artist’s life, things she’s made with her hands, in many different forms, including:
Over 40 rich black-and-white film photographs featuring NYC automats, Florence and Paris from unique perspectives, family moments of whimsy...Wide-lux panoramic photos... Brilliant color photos of quirky America, Nature & climate change, & the Women’s March of 2017.
The show includes two genres Betsy uniquely created --cement bowls, each made of hydraulic cement and each different; and textile personnages, large-scale textile creations with personality. Betsy also exhibits her recent papier mache’ bowls; paintings showing the process of a series; and multi-media constructions.
